History

The American Gold Eagle coins made their debut 53 years after the last gold coins from the US Mint, the 1933 $20 Gold Double Eagle. Comprising 91.67% gold, 5.33% copper, and 3% silver, these modern 22-karat specimens are a valuable addition to any collection.
